I said at least... It's a figurative number, if we were to guesstimate that based on price and perceived scarcity, about 2000 exist. In other words, I pulled it outta MIND THE LANGUAGE . Sue me.
I have been away from CT for several months and you joined during my absence so I don't know you or your personality. I have no idea if you are joking around or if you have a chip on your shoulder. Until I figure this out I will steer clear of you. Have a nice evening. I am going to bed.
Look at my post from earlier (#5).....this is a known error. That being said, it is 11:41 p.m. and still no pic.........I hope this wasn't a joke because wow, what a find it would be. Anyway.....I'm still waiting and hoping that this is a real find!!!!
A picture doesn't mean much. I would be much more interested in a weight and specific gravity test result.
Is a 1965 worth anything? I just got one today. I also got a 1957 According to my scale... 1957 - 6.12g 1965 - 5.50g 1967 - 5.54g The noise caught my attention, especially the 1957. What would the 1957 be worth???
The 57 is silver and worth around $3 at current spot prices, it has no real value as a collectible, still a very nice find. Where did you get it, they are pretty rare to find in circulation. The 65 and later quarters are copper clad and worth 25 cents.
Sounds to me like this guy was trying to stir something up on this forum. He never "got back from work" to post pictures of it.
I think you meant to say "If you really think you have one then send it to Garrett for verification."
Thank you beef1020! I got it in change at a head shop actually. I was pretty suprised to see a 57 in circulation also.
Doesn't this remind us of the Morgan "proof" that was just AU overpolished? Anyone remember? Sigh so many fakes
Ya he must be working nights or something lol anyone know value of this 1958 D Quarter? Got it as change from local AMPM few weeks back and knew it was different from the sound and feel. From reading the previous posts I believe its Silver. I have included 4 pics, 2 front 2 back. Thanks for the help.
