From now on I will be keeping all of the 1965 quarters I find with the silver color edge. I know a lot of them were nickel plated but I will keep them anyway for more examination before throwing them in the junk pile . Thanks Conder 101 for the info.
Probably the best way to check them out would be to scratch a tiny place on the reeded edge and if it is a normal clad coin the copper should show.
Haven't you seen any of the electro plated 1965 Quarters ? This is being done by a bunch of crooks , They try to pass them off as the real 1965 valuable silver quarters. This is a good place for beginners to learn . I wish the internet would have been around back when I started learning.
