From which reference book did you get this definition?

According to Alan Herbert, author of Official Price Guide to Mint Errors, a Multiple Strike is defined as follows:

    III-L-16 Multiple Strike (WE)
A multiple strike is defined as: A coin which was struck by the dies in or out of the collar four or more times, full or partial strikes of any size or in any location, showing on the struck coin as four or more distinct impressions of the dies, which may or may not overlap.

I agree that this coin is merely an off - center strike because it does not include any additional image .
    Thanks

Thanks everyone............sorry for the detail blunders.........I'm new at this and my fingers go faster than my brain. I'm excited about being on this site and learning from all you pros! I have coins I collected from my teens and am retiring this year, so I am looking forward to becoming reacquainted with my collection. Stefano
