I just wondered if anyone knows if this is PVC damage on the coin and if so will EZest remove it successfully to send off for grading. Also please help me confirm it is a DDR.
I appreciate the help and support.
    This place rocks!!

Agreed with paddyman. Flat & shelf like, not a DDR. Can't tell you about cleaning.

It looks like machine doubling to me, too, and you'd be wasting your money having it graded. It would have to grade MS68 to make it worthwhile.

Guys, check out the base of the "Y". I know, he says DDR but looks notched but hard to tell through the crud on the obverse. I cant get pics up on VV. Im looking for a whoppin given the talent up there above my post ....but that Y really looks possible if it isnt just stains or a bad pictures exaggerating it. Paddy, Michael, Chris, Tommy....I will take my beating like a man lol!

I would not put a high value on it , even if it was a DDR and good surfaces, so I would dip it and see what it looks like. Use good practice and dilute the dip 1:10 with water so you can watch to see and pull it out when you like it. Jim

Here is a pic of insert. Take a look and the doubling on the word half dollar. It is the same exact kind I believe I have on the coin I posted above where you all said it was MD.
just trying to see what I’m missing here.

What you are seeing on your half dollar, and what you are showing on the PCGS half dollar slab are both MDD. It looks like the PCGS label is incorrect... that slab does not show the FS-802 (65 DDR-004). Attached is a photo that shows some doubling on the 65 DDR-004...I can not see it on the PCGS half dollar.

I may be wrong, but the doubling that @MArkus B claims to see is not on the stars, but what he is seeing is nothing more than machine doubling on "HALF DOLLAR".

So it’s on the stars only for that coin. ?
