1964D DDR?

    Of course, a specimen can have both MD and be a DDO/DDR. In this case I’m not seeing the Class 2 doubling though. Looks MD to me. Shelf-like and reduced devices.

    Good luck Sarg. ! I hope you get your answer, your the man ! I would just tuck it away and save up to send it in to Wexler's for a whopping $5 plus postage . IMO

    Yes. Notching is one of the more typical characteristics. Harder to see on some Class 2 doubling since the spread is typically toward the outer rim and not CW/CCW (although invariably there is some).

    keep in mind that the depth of the First/Second impressions are different. You can differentiate by the look of the ‘offset’. Is it scalloped (MD)? Or is it convex (as in doubling)?
