I think you've skipped right past the forest and the trees, and zoomed in on one particular pine beetle. I'm no SMS expert, but your photos are only showing the area for one diagnostic, and the odds of a normal coin having a mark that looks like that diagnostic are a lot higher than those of a real SMS coin somehow escaping into the wild and then being plucked from circulation.
By looking at it I'd say that you are wanting die deterioration to be a die marker. @-jeffB says it best all the markers must be present. if you don't know what they are you need to do more studying. I am not seeing any resemblance to an SMS coin.
