Looks like the reverse has been in acid. I've seen this before many times. Not an error, no value but 1 cent.
I have two 1964 pennies and one has the L in "liberty" and was does not have the L. Anything signifiant about this pennies?
Could have been caused by Post Mint damage or Grease filled die though i am not sure it would carry a premium. However in order to be accurate with my guess you need to provide pictures.
Also some dies wear and the edge of the die is where the L on LIBERTY is crowded to the left next to the rim. So that they appear missing. But that is just part of the dies life as it gets old.
