Coin roll hunting today during my lunch break. Found this nice 1964 penny. I was really surprise how good it look for it’s age. I am sure there some nicer ones out there. New to coin collecting. Just wanted to share my find.

Yes, very nice. You'll run across many 64's in that condition if you roll hunt regularly. That year seems to be very 'well preserved' for that year in particular for some reason. Good pickup.

Hey, what kind of crack is that? "For its age". I've got nine years on that coin.

Probably came out of a mint set. Last year they minted silver. Some people will break open sets, keep the silver and spend the remaining penny and nickel. Just saying that might be the reason, but it's nice to find older coins like that in it's condition regardless.

Not sure what Kurt's situation is, but I am some 11 years older than he, yet the top of my head IS MUCH MORE shiny! LOL

Unfortunately, I'm the same age as Kurt and the top of my head is void of vegetation.

Looks like a decent proof. My guess it's worth maybe $5.
