Helloo9o anybody home this is dandy would sure like a lil input on penny how to tell if real where might i take it to get checked out n southern missiouri live n the boonies
You’ll have to post a pic. Obverse and reverse. And usually you’ll get a better response if you start a new thread IF this is a different coin than the one you started this thread for.
Try to start your own thread. At the top right from the section header is a button "Post new Thread" I was confused as there is another question from a different poster at the beginning.
Need pics, but I wouldn't get your hopes up. The minting machinery can't strike a coin if one of the dies are missing. There are some specific errors that might look like a normal coin with a blank side, but the odds of finding one is high. However, there are lots and lots and lots of coins that have been subject to grinding, lathe, or other machine shop experiments. It seems people post these on CT a couple of times each week. If you've spent any time in a machine shop, you should be able to easily spot the lines/grooves from metal removal.
If you can get to Springfield, Missouri, they have three coin shops there. Take your coins to one of them to check it out.
Mornin' all - the OP's coin is machined - grinde off on the reverse side. Not a uniface strike, of any mint error type at all.......
He doesn't have a computer He doesn't have a computer So my question is.. How is he viewing this website? Most smartphones have cameras and can save pictures. I do it every day!
In an earlier post he mentioned he couldn’t respond because his phone went “caput”. So phone it is! We should just start a Jim Dandy thread and he can post all his stuff there.lol
I've been there...it is a small community southeast of Jonesboro on your way to the St Francis River and Osceola...It is also part of the epicenter of the New Madrid Fault ( pronounced "Mad-rid", not "Ma-drid" like in Spain). But I digress...apologies for the diversion...Spark
