1964 Nickel with clipped

I think I know what you all will say about this one, but I thought I would ask on the off chance I'm wrong.

I found this nickel with a clip as you can clearly see. It may have been manipulated at some point, but it was in circulation up until at least 1995.

That's post mint damage. Someone snipped it.
