1964 Nickel Error?

    Welcome to CT. Looks like someone ground off an angle at the top of the coin. Wait for other opinions.

    I agree with Kentucky on the grinding. But perhaps a little more investigation is needed on a Friday night. Could you post larger photos?

    Why it looks to be ground after coining is because the Obverse looks fine (i.e., damaged post minting). Otherwise, some of the edge devices on the obverse would lose definition.

    It's genuine. It's also damaged. And it's worth five cents-that's on the reverse.
