Perhaps you can tell us what you think the error is and what you mean by grading.

The fifth photo is damage to the rim caused by a hit. As for everything else, I’m not seeing any errors and I have no idea what you mean by grading errors on the 1964 as it doesn’t looked graded because they are in your hand, not sealed in a professionally graded slab.

They're both just damage, they're not errors.

I believe he wants folks' opinions on the grade on the 1964.

    The shape? Round…..

it’s not in awful shape at all, the 1964, some hits on Jefferson’s cheek that will lower the grade. I still might hold on to it though. Worthy of being in a flip, but not in a slab.

for fun Google two things…. First Google the total mintage of 1964 nickels.

Second, Google PCGS Photograde. Compare your nickel to the ones they have there, you’ll start to get a sense of how it grades. I think NGC has an online grading page as well if you’d rather use them.

you’ll see a lot of opinions here at CT about when to send a coin to be graded, but most answers seem to be around $200-$300 in value.

Shiny but both show lots of circulation damage. One I know for sure has been cleaned. The shinier one, maybe cleaned since it's so shiny but with lots of circulation damage.

The one with small square damage is almost sure one squeezed in a high pressure vise, IMO, Jim
