1964 DMM nickel?

    Is this what is considered a doubled mint mark?

    In numismatic lingo, there is an RPM and an OMM, but there is nothing referred to as a DMM.

    No.. for that year the Mint Mark was hand punched into the Die.. so it cannot be a Doubled Die issue.

    What Chris mentioned is correct.

    I see circulation wear and tear and some coin wrapper crimper damage. all can contribute for the mint mark appearing the way it does.
