1964 DDR NICKEL?

    i wanted some other opinions on this 1964 nickel. it appears to be some sort of doubling. let me know what you think. thanks

    It appears to be DDD ( die deterioration doubling) but I would wait for some other experts. JMO

    It certainly is THAT; the question is if it's something else too.

    Definitely die deterioration, would that be considered one full step?

    I’m definitely no expert on these matters. I’ve looked at a lot of 64 nickels and I haven’t seen one quite like this one.
