    The planchets are struck cold, copper is workable cold...

    This is actually a pretty cool "Virtual tour" of the mint process

    Wait a minute.........even the TITLE of the thread states it isn't an error:

    1964 D- EX-rare lincoln cent 1964 D "4 point CUD Mud slide" ERROR

    It is an EX rare coin....it is an error coin no longer....as an error coin, it ceases to exist!!!!!

    Both sides are making this go down hill and I'm really disappointed in some of the ways ya'll are acting. I'm tired and heading to bed, but this is on my list to review in the morning.

    Just as a closing remark - in my years of collecting and researching coins, I think I can say, and be pretty sure, that this coin is NOT an error, but is damaged.
