I've been posting and lurking for years, but the quarantine finally got me to dig through the ones I'd set aside to take a good look, and I think I got a good one!

Please, a sanity check is greatly appreciated. It's a 64-D nickel (circulated of course, alas) that seems to have a pretty obvious set of split serifs... Your thoughts? I've attached shots of the 'P' and 'US' in pluribus, the 'OF' in states of, and the mint mark lit as best I can from my scope.

Seems to match DDR-001 but I'm always a student!

    Thanks all!

It's hard to match up with anything on VarietyVista or Wexler's site because you're showing so little of the coin. It would help if you showed a closeup of the entire word instead of 1 or 2 letters. Did you check these sites?:

I've added a few more pics here - hope that helps! And yes, I checked, that's where I came up with the DDR 001 thought.

Pictures are kind of tough but looks to be some kind of something going on there. Any chance of better shots?

I don't know how I'd take them... This is the best I've been able to get out of my crappy little USB scope :/

What kind of scope? I have several and all of them are capable of much better shots. Maybe you're doing something wrong?

expat Remember you are unique, just like everyone else

Raise the scope so you can see all the coin. As long as the focus is accurate, crop out all unneccessary background as this will enlarge the image also. When you upload them to your post click the Full Image button for each image, then members can enlarge them on screen
