I discovered this 1963D Lincoln penny while going through tubes of uncirculated pennies looking for any gradable ones. I threw this one under the microscope to check for doubling on the date or mint mark. It wasn't until I flipped it over that I discovered what appears to be a major die crack in the last column of the Lincoln Memorial building. I also noticed a large chip in the E of CENT. Upon pulling it back out today and re-examining it I believe the L in Liberty to be doubled at the bottom. The closest reference I could find for it is on Wexler's Die & Variety website being listed as 1963-D 1¢ WDDO-050. I'm still a novice in the field of copper coins but every day I seem to research and discover something new. I look forward to your responses & opinions. Keep searching! 1963D-Die Break (1).jpg 1963D-Die Break (2).jpg 1963D-Die Break (8).jpg 1963D-Die Break (3).jpg 1963D-Die Break (5).jpg 1963D-Die Break (7).jpg 1963D-Die Break (6).jpg
