Pardon me, but what is ddd?, and the date, especially the last two numbers appear to be differently doubled than the words. I have never seen anything like the doubling on this date before.
DDD= Die Deterioration doubling which simply means it came from a worn die that should have been retired. It is not a true doubled die, nor an error.
Wow that is a hard core example of DDD! I have never seen one that extreme and would hang on to it as a conversation piece.
It is fun to look at; especially the last two numbers of the date which look like they have been struck numerous times. One day i will find a better camera. I would really like to buy one at a store, to check it out first, instead of buying one off the internet, but i cant seem to find a store near me. The photos dont do the coin justice.
I gave up on cameras and use a scope, which is reasonably priced on the web. You can buy one that uses USB port on your computer. I paid around $39 for mine. Do some research and see what's out there.
