Acetone, a q-tip, and maybe some verdicare will greatly improve the eye appeal.

    Definitely 6FS, in my opinion.

That looks like an impaired proof; I have never seen steps that good on a 1962 business strike before.

6 FS are not known on the 62 Philly. It has to be a proof.

It's been soaking in acetone for 3 days now
Could be an impaired proof I'm just not seeing any mirrored anything on it

Here's an image of the rim for whatever it's worth

The lettering is the dead giveaway, here. Just compare to a MS 1962, you’ll see.

I have searched rolls and rolls of these. Have never found a Philly even close to FS.
This is the best Denver that I have found.

Another set for comparison. Two Business, then proof.
The first business strike has a remarkable resemblance to the OP’s coin. Notice the weakness in the columns even while the steps are strong. A proof would have a stronger relief in that area.

Those are some nice looking steps for a Philly, thing is yours shows 5 steps. Ricks shows 6.

Quite true. And the second is a much better strike overall, while being worse in the steps. It shows the variation that business strikes can have.

But the first one does support that his coin is almost certainly a business strike and not a proof. I am not going to try finding a more exact match!
