1962 D penny looks to me like a rpm but i can find anything like it on variety vista....is there any value.....I think it might be ddo here
Hello . Can you isolate the MM so we can see it better . I did find one from Wexler's Coins and Varieties site .
@Bradford Adams You can steady the camera on your phone by anchoring to a tall drinking glass or something heavy for full coin shots. For closeups, you need to be creative. Find an object that is tall enough/heavy enough to get an in-focused image of the MM before you snap the photo. Then you can import the photo for some editing and commentary.
I believe you have a DDO - 001. Check http://varietyvista.com/01b LC Doubled Dies Vol 2/1962DDDO001.htm
I don’t think it’s a DDO as referenced. The link to VV shows a different font/style MM. I believe yours is the 1962 variety mm while the VV link shows a 1963 variety mm. There’s a lot of crud on the date/mm. A soak could remove enough to get a better look at the mm. I can’t tell enough from your photos yet.
Good suggestions/points. In this day of digital, have often wondered why more folks, esp many online sellers, don't review their photos before posting, and retake if/when photos are blurry and/or too small for the frame, to clearly see, lighting issues, etc. I'm sure this likely includes some who don't really want you to clearly see their coin(s), and I usually take that as a warning to not even ask for more/better photo(s) and simply move on.
