The Nikon pix is much better. Considerate would be to rotate them level and post a pix of the whole coin, both sides. I'm not interested in playing guess what's up with the "A" otherwise. It's also nice if you post a link to what you are thinking it matches along with attribution images. Side by side or over/under nice. FYI, window native photo editor will rotate images in less than 1 degree increments. The problem with it is that as you rotate, the image "helix's" towards you reducing the amount of subject available for cropping. Play with it and you'll see what I mean. I had looked into fixing it as it is annoying and found a registry tweak is alleged to be able to correct/modify that behavior. I forgot where and let me know if you run across it. I'll do mine eventually, but, have no serious need at this point in time. I do believe your coin appears trying to show resemblance to 001 at some die stage but the jpg fails. If you are seeing what seems to match in hand, that strongly supports that TG is merely popping off with safe and easy standard answers. As if anyone truly thinks precise measurements regarding the "spread" possibly shown on your coin's heavily pixelated picture leaves enough to credibly nail it to within 20 thou. Geeze. By all means, try making a diffuse or filter for the light on the USB or do the Nikon. Get it too dark then turn it up if you have to. Maybe make one from a lens out of a sunglass. Polarized and two of them might make you smile. Give up? I walk away from my coins all the time and have off and on for over 30 years. I always come back and you are getting on the right track and the fact that you realize what you've uploaded doesn't faithfully convey what you are seeing in hand, is a really good step.
