    Like the pre-1982 U.S. cent, copper coins can have metal movement fairly easily. If you examine your damage, you will see the metal was "pushed" to form the anomaly.

    I looked at from all angles and see no signs of the metal being pushed. If there were one side would visibly have signs of it being messed with. Mike
