Going through my hoard and came across this 5c BU which came out if 1992 marked box in my closet. I must have OCD...lol
Anyway interesting rotated die strike I wanted to share. The last two pics Ilined up the edge of holder on table to show it better I hope?...lol 20211129_172540.jpg 20211129_163122.jpg 20211129_163245.jpg

Looks a little rotated to me(by a few percent)not enough to add any value but still neat.

20211129_185440.jpg 20211129_185510.jpg Now this kind of freaked me out. I ended up having two 1962 BU 5c and I had to put both in new holders to show the rotation. Now I have a set of slightly rotated die strikes...lol

Nice find. Can you manage some lighter pictures? It almost looks prooflike.

Wow, I just looked at the edges and they are proof coins. I can't remember where in 1992 I acquired them but they were in cardboard holders marked BU. I just changed them out to put markers on them. Does that change anything? 20211130_182136.jpg

    Change anything? Not really.

It looks "prooflike" because the surface looks mirrored. Look at the letters, are they very thin and crisp? If not, it's a "prooflike" business strike, probably just from fresh dies. On a proof, the steps under Monticello will be pretty well-defined, so you might look there, too.
