here is a large date left next to my small date right liberty is doubled along with date and d also look at the 9 its smaller as is the 6 even though its double slightly.also look at the contrast of the coin.its really really glossy red gol and abe has no color at all.
It could have some type of artificial finish on it. I think in the old days, some guys used to put a laqueur or something on coins to prevent them from toning. Just a guess. In the future, you know you can take a picture through a loupe? It magnifies what you're trying to show a lot better. Especially if you don't have an appropriate macro lens.
not a proof They only made plain no mint mark (Philadelphia) proofs in that year. Absolutely NO 'd' proofs.
Are you sure it is not varnished/ That would create the appearance of doubling and increase the gloss, making it appear proof. When the better pictures get here it will help immensely.
