That cent is supposed to weigh 3.11 grams. Yours, being 0.058 grams heavier, I think that is within the allowed tolerance.
so at that weight due you think its an altered copper penny or something else? a dime blank weighs much less so I don't think it was produce from blanks left in a coin change.
IMO, the coin was electroplated or otherwise coated with a silvery colored substance, the most obvious (without a photograph) and logical explanation for the added weight.
