Found this in a coin roll. Looks great. There is doubling on Obverse and Reverse. Comments please.

Can you say where you are seeing the doubling?

From your photos I can't see any doubling.

I just have a phone camera. When I look at it with my magnifier I see lots of doubling. I will try to take better pics tomorrow.

Does anyone see the same thing I see?

A line ( damage or die crack ? ) running from Jefferson's eye downwards, past and behind his nose, and ending at the back of his mouth.

I can't tell for sure what it is but it does look raised (die crack) to me.

BTW, I don't see any doubling, but I do see a few places that could be mistaken for it.

The stairs look like they're covered in one continuous die chip. lol

    The T and S in T r u S t could be mistaken for DDO.

Meow, do you see the line on his face?

Oh yes, Meow has found nickels like that before with the doubled face. That is usually MD. Meow has yet to find a doubled face on a coin that was a real doubled die. Meow also find pennies like that one rare occasions.

It looks like a normal nickel for its age.

It's just a normal nickel. Any doubling you're seeing is coincidental with the striking. These don't strike with cookie-cutter precision. They bounce, slide, twist, turn, rock and roll, and it shows on every coin.

I see the line you're referring to. Almost looks like a teardrop. :)
