1960 NGC MS66 Jefferson Nickel Doubled Die!! (I wish!!)

    Looks like the typical late die state "erosion doubling" (especially around the "T" in the first picture).

    I thought it's called die bounce or something when it leaves a shelf like appearance of doubling. Machine doubling I think. The die erosion is when there are streaks, right? Streaks or the appearance or stretching of the numeral/letter

    Yeah, something like that. It's from a "past-it" die that took a bad hop when it struck.
