Im sharing a find out of a 1960-D obw nickel roll. Comparatively from the early 50s to the late 60s all the hard rare full step nickels if you look at PCGS photos in coin facts they gave FS to coins that didn’t even come close to FS. Probably cause the rarity. 1960-D never has 1 been found with full steps. Check this out..the little bit of damage in the right corner goes horizontal and is a planchet defect as the patina is over the top of that hit. But for the most part based on other rare ones graded this has a real shot at becoming the 1st one. What do you guys think? I also think getting the designation could have 2 different outcomes based on who sends it in. A little politics involved I’m sure. I could be wrong but if you guys think I have a good shot and there is someone who is connected to the grading company or companies I would be interested in sharing a percentage of the goods for that service. The 61, 61D, 63D, 53S, etc have FS examples by PCGS with all steps broken by vertical hits and lots of weakness in the steps and the rare ones it seems like the bend a little bit. This would be the only example and I think I got a good shot hopefully I get feedback that merits this thought!!
