I found this 1960 D Nickle. It looks like there could be a few doubling in a couple of areas on the reverse and observe sides of the coins. I put so e arrows where I believe there could be some
There is some doubling for sure, unfortunately they are not a true Doubled Die coin. The die spreads over usage but the mint generally run them until they start to fall apart. There have been several "names" of this type, such as Die Deterioration Doubling. A true Doubled Die would have the height of each impression almost the same. Jim
So it's not doubled. Just doubling IMO you wouldn't use the word doubled at any time when it's not a true Doubled die variety.
Thanks for correcting me. It’s just the drugs I’m currently on. It’s doing a number on my brain, outlook on life and a few other things. I’m doing my best but I know I’m failing.
hey Nut, I’m in the same situation! Ive been failing for the past six years with no hope in sight. How about we both hang on awhile longer and hope things get better!
Machine damage. Keep the details of the type of doubling you might think it is and apply it to your specimen. See if it will pass the test, but of course, run it by the community for validation.
