Would you guys be able to help me identify if this penny is a large or small date? Also the coin seems to be in decent shape for being circulated, and do y'all think it's worth anything or toss it. Thank you very much.

The only one worth anything is the 1960 small date.
The 60-D small date, the 1960 large date and 1960-D large date are all worth 1 cent.

It's subtle, but the 0 in the LD is much more like a circle, and the 6 is more closed in the SD and the date overall looks a little smaller and tighter in the SD.

I don't know why they changed the style, but they made proofs of both of them, too. This is small date.

Will you look at the strike doubling on that sucker! One doesn't see that very often on proofs, or not that extreme/dramatic.

Regrettably, the doubling is not apparent on either my small date proof or the large date. Below, the Small is on top; Large is on the bottom. It looks like one simple diagnostic is how close the top of the six bends towards the zero.

I just took these with the USB microscope so the magnification is the same for both.
