I saw a thread about 1960 D Bar Nickel. In 50 plus years collecting, you learn something new everyday. I looked through 55 loose 60 D nickels. Found 3 Bar Nickels. Eventually I will open 10 rolls put away in previous years.
Hey, thanks for posting these. I didn't know about the 1960-D Bar 0 or the 1961-D Bar 6. I'll start looking for them!
They were popular and promoted back in the mid-60's as either 'Bar' errors, or 'Morse Code Bars'. Fun to find, and interesting, but there is no collector interest that brings a premium for them, as they are still easily found in any group of 1960's nickels.
