Mainly getting more eyes on this coin so I can learn. Was extremely happy with the awesome condition of this coin when I noticed that little something in bay 7 of the memorial. It's prominent enough that I don't even need to zoom to see. I'm leaning towards a die chip, but I'd like more opinions.

I'm thinking a scratch on the die.

The way these are made and given the softness of zinc it could be nothing more than a hit.

So the 5% tin and zinc can create this even if it's risen off the surface as a bump and not a gouge?

A raised line would most likely be from a damaged die. As in a die gouge or scratch.

I agree with Alurid on the small die gouge.
