Always nice to find a copper cent with that mark. :)

    Is it a broken planchet?

    Crack in the die.

Best of luck there. I submitted once and that's more than enough for me. Overly picky and stringent "guidelines" for submitting, with absolutely zero clarification as to how to exactly submit to such standards. Once and done there, but I admittedly still use that site as reference.

I didn't think it was a die crack because it looked like a crevice and not
filled out. But pictures can be deceiving.

Seems like a hair line crack in a planchet would fill-in when it was struck. But I'm just guessing. Anyone know whether it would or not?

What about Bondo or JB Weld? :troll:

Or metal from the planchet when it's in a semi solid state as it's being struck?
