1959 D LMC Is this a LAM or Die Crack? YOur Opinion Please

    That is a Lamination. It is a planchet flaw.

    A die crack is something related to the Die itself. A Die crack is obvious because it's raised metal. When the Die strikes the blank planchet the metal flows into the crack like a mold and takes thr shape of the crack.

    Understand the difference?
