1959 Canada penny

What have I got? Passed down by grandmother been in family for at least 45 years.

    Damaged.. it looks like burn marks :yack:

    Either plated then burned or the heat changed the color of the coin.

    But that is no mint error.

    Thanks bunch... just one last question? Have you seen a silver Canada penny? Because it's not copper or still?want stick to magnet. Never thought till just now maybe zinc? But for sure not copper any thoughts and thanks again for the help friends

    they made them out of steel towards the end.
