I have always had a tough time discerning this variety, especially on this particular coin because it has a slight hit on the tip of the 5.

What do you all think? Blunt 5 or Pointed 5?

That is the blunt...or normal 5... however only variety is the" pointed 5 ", the big variety for the 1959 Canadian cent is the hanging 9. The pointed is a minor variety under unclassified.....source coin & canada.

Pointed 5 Left - Blunt 5 right. Pointed 5 slants backwards from top right corner of 5. Blunt is straight up and down.
    Yours is a blunt 5
