Something is not right on the 1958 franklin. The year seems too close to the T in TRUST and the digits doesn't seem to be clear like the others. Even the scanner doesn't give a good pic and I don't know what else to do. What type of magnifier is needed to spot errors?
Although I do not have a 1958 Franklin Half Dollar, I believe that this may be normal! Since the bottom "0" in the "8" is larger that the top bar of a "7" in a Date on a Franklin, it can be expected to need more space to fill thus the closeness to the "T" in TRUST. Frank
Hi, Very normal, instead of looking at the 8 , compare the positions of the 1 in both dates. The relative position is the same on both coins. This is merely due to the shape of the 8 versus the shape of the 7. Have Fun, Bill
