So I went to my local Chevron and I acquired two rolls of nickels I open them to my surprise they're only 1957 and 1958 in each roll a lot of them look uncirculated but I guess they were poorly made cuzz most of them don't have step at all Some of them are beautiful with very shiny luster likein mint condition but I don't think any have full steps from being porly made...Maybe a few do need to look a bit closer . what. Are the full step requirements ?? a picture would be helpful. These are 1957 D only These are 1958 D only This is reverse of the super nice ones. Obverse of super nice ones. Also found 2 black ones very nice .. Black beauties??? And one with a double die rim? Bottom of the 3 ...Correct me if wrong im a novice. All 1957D
interesting. But.. the 'really nice ones' can't be seen in those pictures. and those dates in unc have little value
No interruptions anywhere on the steps Check out this old thread https://www.cointalk.com/threads/th...erson-nickels-defined-photographically.49827/
The problem with Jeffersons and even 60 year old coins like these, unless they are mint state, they are face value. There's just no premium or market for them. Not including silver war nicks there are only a very small handful of key dates for this series. And another small handful of dates worth keeping but the value is very low.
