No, it is not rare. Unless it is in high uncirculated condition it has only nominal value.

Extremely common. Unless it is near perfect, it is worth about 2 - 3 ¢ merely because it is copper.

You either made the best purchase of your lifetime or you got ripped off for $4. (My money is on the latter.)

By the way, does your keyboard not have any keys for punctuation?

test the 1944. if it dose not stick to a magnet, fake. make sure it sticks strong.

The '57 is worth 2 cents. The '44 is probably a fake coin but examine it anyway.

    therocktjb Wait, what**

Yeah...cause if you really have those two coins, that are about as rare as rare can be, that's the best place for them...there really should be a facepalm smiley.

I'm guessing this comes up a lot around these parts...LOL.

I have a 1957 wheat penny with the letter P under the date. I have not seen any like mine on line. Is this significant?

How do you tell if a coin is an error

First, start a new thread. This thread is 5 years old and is on a different subject.
Second, post a clear picture of the coin otherwise we really won't be able to help you, aside from just guessing.
