    I can't tell if it is a "BIE" or just damage. A clearer close-up is needed. Anyway, it is truly worth what someone is willing to pay for it. ~ Chris

    PMD IMO. The metal is very malleable and it appears that the E took a hit and spread into the B.

    Hopefully these are better , also if it makes the value more i would gladly clean it up , I have three coins like this , but different dates and the other two don’t have anything under them

    Looks like it is just damage to me. On another note, don't clean up a collectible coin, it won't increase the value, it will decrease it.

    Looks like both letters got whacked and the copper spread.
