Going through some wheat pennies today and came across this. Is it an actual doubled die and are they common? Thanks in advance for any input.
To me, that seems to be a subtle difference between the OP and what the DD looks like. I would have thought it was DD based on the pics you posted. Please point out the differences.

Machine Doubling reduces the size of the devices. A DD will exhibit a size increase of the devices. The picture posted above that Coop made shows this clearly.
