    What you have is a silver certificate, you could take it to a bank and exchange it for $1 in silver. In that condition, I wouldn't pay more that $3-$4 for it

    I think it is the plate number

    The number on the back is the back plate number (297). The number on the front (549) is your front plate number. Your plate position is B4. Your note was printed on a sheet containing 32 notes and yours was near the lower right side of the page.
