Here are the 1956 P&D Washingtons for my B toner Dansco. They came out of two separate Mint Sets. The images are by Bob Campbell, and I think he did an excellent job.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

The obverse of the D is very nice.

What does your 56D look like in your A folder, if this is your B coin?

I suspect MOST people would prefer my B 1956-D over my A. Everyone will be able to make up their own minds in a week or two when I post my A toners. There is no question that the B is a classically rainbow toned coin. IMO the colors are nicer on the B toner than on the A toner.

The only reason I prefer the A toner to the B toner is that I enjoy the obverse toning pattern on the A toner more. It is a darker toned coin, predominantly brown toned with a fair amount of flecking of other colors, notably green. There is an untoned streak going from roughly the 10 o'clock position to the 3 o'clock position. IMO this somewhat makes the coin look like it has reverse raccoon toning, which I find enjoyable.

As I said, I suspect most people will prefer the B to the A, but I'm not planning on getting rid of either of them anytime soon, as I enjoy them both...
