Sorry-looking, scratched-up, little thing. But we take them as we find them. It's also got a tiny retained cud on the wheat stalk to the right. Overall, good find.
I see the "BIE' but don't think it's a "Woodie" . Looks more like an attempt to clean the Obverse with something abrasive . IMHO.
A "woody" will have identical lines on obverse and reverse lined up to be directly parallel to each other.
@jim a baranak most collectors are still searching for their first doubled die. Even those that have been at it for 50 plus years. I have been at it for 70 plus years and have 2 true doubled die pieces. The best thing to do is to collect coins and let errors pop up as they may.
Get a clue, expert. We called these "retained cuds." Probably a little before your time and expertise.
