1955 S penny "S"

Yep yet another 1955 "S" JUST the "S" on this one if you look close at the back bottom of the S just above the last curve. There is a small CUD? maybe? not sure . hard to tell.

It looks like it could be a small die break, but it is not a cud. A cud is a break along the rim that extends into the field.

As Chris said, a small die break/chip. Common enough, I have a whole roll of 1972S that have this.

 

@tommyc03 Hey if sometime you have time maybe you could break em out ,, an post a few pic's of your 1955 "S" error's that would be cool to see, allot more of other varieties.
