Does the S mint mark touch the torch

  1. It most certainly does Ollie....

  2. No it's the mint mark style that throws you off.

  3. Maybe but whats up with his eye?

Doesn't quite touch the torch IMO, but it does have a neat doubled eyelid and looks to be cleaned

    Mint-mark is in a normal position ( as of mint-mark styles MMS-004 by coneca ) and is known as a " Tall Mint-Mark " ....

Eye, Eye Lid, and Eyebrow are normal to .

Actually its unc. Not cleaned out of an 1955 s roll. It is the tall mm and the mm doesnt touch the torch ,but.....in hand you can see a piece of medal "raised" that links the torch and mm. Top at the tip os S and below at the bottom curve.
Most likely a die chip from the S being cut in the die.
