1955 Double die?

    Looks like a normal coin to me i don't see anything on this coin There;s no doubling in that area

    1955 dd?

    maybe a closer pic might help. It is above the fives. right on top of them. I don't know how to use the arrows.

    What you are seeing is the contrast of the fields between the darker spot and the lighter spot which is giving that look of doubling on the top of the fives no doubled die sorry.There's no indication of any raised images or any kind of doubling near the fives.

    I don't see any doubling.
    And even if there was a little doubling, it still would command no, or little premium, that is what we call a poor mans double die.
    The actual rarity, the 1955 double die, has extreme doubling to it.

    Hi, You have a 1955-D coin, not a 1955 (P).

    The 1955-D DDO is mainly a doubling of "19" and of the eye, and lapel. The doubling also appears somewhat on the motto.
