    It does not look normal to me. Could it be just a bag mark? Or possibly a small amount of debris in that part of the dies design. If it was a die flaw there would be thousands more, and most likely found long before now. I think the 1955 LWC has been very closely scrutinized and searched though , including D's and S's.

    Looks to me to be a well placed hit after it left the Mint. It happens.
