I watch Rick Tomaska's coin show on cable TV for education, since I cannot afford most of his coins, but I've learned a lot from him.

He also pointed out that the plastic flat pack is different in "assembled original sets." He really has opened my eyes to this cottage industry of people claiming to sell original unopened sets on ebay. I agree that I would not believe them. I would only buy something like that from a known dealer I could trust.

The original plastic compartments in original flat packs (inside the paper envelope) have a corrugated edge whereas many fake sets have a smooth edge.

I have been coin collecting for quite a number of years and believe the best way to quickly identify a replacement older proof set envelope is that the replacement envelope will have Philadelphia, PA as part of the address and an original envelope will have Philadelphia xx, PA and the xx will further define the address such as the xx being 30 for an original 1955 proof set envelope. For 1964 the envelope should have Philadelphia, PA 19130 not just Philadelphia, PA
