1953 Wheatie Cud

    This I believe to be a CUD on reverse. Not sure about the 3 on date being doubled so need more experienced opinions on this one.     No CUD
    Die Chips

    I think you should know by now what a CUD is.. It's a Die Break that involves the Rim and extends into the field.

    Sorry and I do and not sure why I posted as such. Still learning these coins. Just an IDB then correct? Any thoughts on the 3 in date?

    Also looks like it may have went to the rim at one time but wear may have taken that away. May have been a retained cud at that time.

    Correct IDB. The 3 took a hit at some point. Notice how it is thinner than normal (plus look at the hits on the other numbers)

    I agree with die chip but the 3 looks more like DDD to me.JMO
